Mark Adam
“Quirky”, “Volcanic” “Musically Confused” and “We’ve Heard Worse” are some of the terms that have been used to describe MarkAdam over the past year -- but perhaps CMJ sums it up best with “It MarkAdam music”. Virtuosic in his guitar playing coupled with soulful singing and writing, are terms that would better describe him.
Regardless of classification, he and his underground music have been experiencing the kind of buzz that is rightly reserved for artists that bring something new and fresh to the table. Since the release of his first studio album four years ago, MarkAdam has received many accolades including award nominations, press reviews and the placement of his song “Lay Down My Mind” in the indie flick, “Land of Loneliness”.

After college, Rebecca began singing again, and tackled writing lyrics. Needing some accompaniment, she started out singing for a band. It wasn’t until a friend encouraged her to play the guitar that she pursued the instrument. After being taught a few chords, she was hooked and her own style began to emerge.
As a result of her hard work, she has performed at local coffee shops, listening rooms and even graced the side stage of the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre for the “Deep South Harvest Festival.”

Matt McGrath
Why does Matt play music? He's an artist dats why. He has a love for music and drawing and theatre, it's in his blood. Matt can't remember how it all started he believes he just woke up one day and decided to just buy a bass and start playing. "Okay so I do know because it's fun to play and I enjoy it very much, playing softly to all the punk and hardcore music I listen to." Matt notes. He want to be an actor or musician ( "a.k.a I'm going to be working at McDonalds till I die). But... dreams are dreams, and I can persue them all I want and I will. Disclaimer: Working at McDonalds is not bad. It is a noble thing. I eat there. You should too."
P3
P3 is a well seasoned improvisational trio from the Triangle Area
of North Carolina, featuring Paul Barton on guitar, Paul Kollar on bass and Phil Wylie on drums. These three accomplished musicians create a sound that leans a bit to the psychedelic rock side, with touches of groove fusion, funk and blues. Following a strong early-70s vibe, the band features a heavy bass drive and soaring guitar work, with solid drumming to hold it all together.
P3 in concert is literally a work in progress, and they pretty much
make it up as they go along. "It's 80 percent improvisation and 20 percent half-baked ideas," said Paul Kollar. Phil Wylie added, "It's the spirit of exploration. We just play, explore new territory, and something cool always happens." Paul Barton quipped, “There’s an excellent chemistry here. It allows us to just cut loose and enjoy it.”
P3 got its start in 2003 as a last minute replacement when the scheduled entertainment
couldn’t make it to The Flipside music club in Clayton, NC. Paul Barton started calling musicians and assembled a three piece band. They didn’t have time to rehearse prior to taking the stage, but the guys had such fun playing together that night and their music got such an enthusiastic reception from the crowd that they decided to form a “real” band.
Cliff Morgan, co-owner of The Flipside music club in Clayton said, "The first time they played, they blew everyone away. That says a lot about these guys that they can just pick up instruments and jam because they’re so good. I always have them back."
Since then, P3 has been playing steadily in the Triangle area. They recorded their debut
CD “Just Made It Up” during a live performance in April of 2003 and will unveil their mixed (studio and live recordings) follow-up effort in November of 2004.
All of their CD’s and more information are available on www.studio415.com/P3 and www.sprawlingproductions.com and samples of their music are available on www.audiostreet.net/P3.

Ghetto Prince - Hip Hop and Mazi T
We already know that this industry is loaded with rappers and even some self proclaimed legends..............
But what we have yet to witness is an artist from today whose lyrical style always pays tribute to the originators of the game. In the mid 1970`s homeboys were in their basements doing this thing called rappin.
They put poetry to song, made it a culture and art. When that happen like putting a fertile egg with sperm,
Hip Hop was born!!!!!!!!
And so was a spirit, named........No other than GHETTO PRINCE
This artist /producer love, respect, and knowledge of hip-hop will make you think he`s the ghost of hip-hop pass.
Ghetto, (who produces his own music and his up and coming artistes), mixes new funky beats with a lyrical style that pays respect to such legends, as Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five and Curtis Blow, just to name a few. Coming with a background of professional music experience, Ghetto is already a member of BMI, and he one of the top 3 finalist in the 1993 Band Slam Contest, held in Rochester, N.Y. He also has touring experience, having toured in Canada, performing his original works.
He has done concerts, opening for such great hip hop acts as KRS 1, Notorious BIG, and Tribe Called Quest, to name a few. He has a library of finished tracks and songs. His stage performance and presence, is that of something magical and would do him a mis-justice to attempt to describe it in writing it is truly a must see.
Ghetto will be singing with his mother, Matzi T an original arrangement of “Summetime”.

Lisa has three CDs of original songs published through her Yume label. Her first recording, “This Moment is the Show,” is an intimate CD of solo piano and vocal arrangements. Her second CD, “Pearl Diver,” is a collaborative piece that originated from Lisa’s piano and vocal compositions, but was realized and recorded with cellist, Deborah Shields and percussionist, John Metcalf.

Acoustic rock via guitar, vocals, violin, and hand percussion—this is TRM. Three guys with completely different musical backgrounds and influences have combined pop, classical, and jam-band into one sound - creating a band unlike any other and a live show you don’t want to miss.
TRM (Taylor Roberts, Mark Nippert, Brian Tavener) recorded and released Show and Tell in the Spring of 2003, an EP of five songs, two new arrangements of songs off of Roberts’ 2002 solo album, Picture the Scene, and three brand new tunes. Fans raved, albums were sold, and the trio began playing more and more shows as the year came to an end.
But then something happened. The live shows took on a whole new quality—Roberts began belting new ranges and breaking two strings per show, Nippert went wireless and started playing electric violin while standing on furniture, and Tavener pounded percussion lines that would normally require four arms. The band realized that they had found their sound.
Now, TRM has returned from four months in the studio to bring you their first full-length album, This Weather. With the new 11-track triumph, Taylor Roberts Music will continue touring up and down the East coast. See them locally at top-quality venues like Six String Café (www.sixstringcafe.com) and Tir Na Nog (www.tnnpub.com). Listening rooms, clubs, and amphitheaters alike can only hope to contain the passion and experience of TRM’s live performance. Taylor Roberts Music… It’s gonna be a great show.

I’ve been playing for over 20 years, with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. The music I love is rock, bluegrass, jazz, blues, big band, world music, gospel, Christian rock, and singer songwriter material. I am also a songwriter, singer, and perform as a guitarist (and harmonica) at my church, Abundant Life Church in Hillsborough, NC. I love live gigs and working in the studio and am currently working with Sonic Playland Studios in Mebane. My “thing” is working with everyone, to make everyone sound great!
Jason Johnston
I moved here about 8 years from Anniston, Alabama (where I grew up) because of the job market, in pursuit of a more promising future. My Uncle received a degree in Percussions from Berkley and my dad began playing drums when he was 19 in the Marines. It would appear that I was destined too play drums. Though, as many children do, I rebelled against the family tradition, and started out with the guitar. It took me about two years to realize that I was not a guitar player. With this realization, I decided that I would give the drums a try. After only playing for about a week I knew that this was definitely what I wanted to do. I began to practice with Led Zeppelin, Ozzy, Skid Row and Poison tunes. After 3 months of practice, I joined a band and the rest is history! I was by no means an expert, but was a quick study, and of course there’s always the family destiny to back me up! I have taught myself everything that I know about playing the drums. Now, years later, I have changed the type of Music that I practice with to the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton, although I still tend to put in some of the new stuff (like Creed) while playing along. Since my move to NC, I have not played at all so I am jumping back on the ole’ bike again and peddling away. I have just recently joined David Snyder, whose music is a little different for me to play, but I am enjoying playing it with him and the other band members. I am anxious to see where we go from here.
