Questions and Answers For Night of Dreams Showcase

1. What is Night of Dreams and what is the Showcase all about?

Night of Dreams is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing alternative performance venues for regional musicians, dancers and artists. The Showcase is a semi-annual event highlighting and promoting talents selected through an audition process. The showcase will raise money for charities while helping local musicians realize the dream of performing for larger audiences, discover the value of collaboration, and impart the intrinsic benefit of helping others in need.

2. Who is behind Night of Dreams and how do I know this is a legitimate organization?

Teresa Spangler, of Cary, founded the Night of Dreams organization. She is well known by the local business community and has been in Cary for over seven years. 3. How was the cast chosen and why?

Auditions were held over a nine-month period at various locations in the Triad. Six Strings Café, in Cary, hosted a number of the audition events. Each cast member was chosen based on a simple list of criteria:

  • Can the showcase benefit the artist in some meaningful way
  • Level of interest in collaboration

Profits from the November showcase will go to The Center for Child and Family Heath (www.ccfhnc.org.com). Based in Durham, N.C. The Center was chosen for its stellar work in handling the most difficult cases of child abuse.
